I am a local resident and in this tough economy and market I am never disappointed in the quality of my meals at this establishment.

There are many "pub style" restaurants on Long Island and this place shines above them all. You will never be disappointed.

Food
Everyone claims to have the best burger but no one beats Runyon's. They are cooked to perfection with a great variety of toppings. Make sure you get their baked potato which has a crispy skin with seasoning. Every meal starts with complimentary fresh veggies and a great dip. Lots of different specials available. You won't be disappointed.
Atmosphere
Decor is nice. If you want to enjoy conversation with your meal sit away from the bar area which can tend to be somewhat noisy.
Service
Wait staff is always friendly and knowledgeable.

We usually go weekday evenings as reservations are not necessary. Probably need them on weekends.

The editors really missed the mark with this place. The steaks are outstanding! NY shell, rib eye, prime rib. It's a haven for carnivores!
