There aren't enough tables and those that are upstairs are too close together. You can hear the people next to you chew.
Service
Been there many times and the service is always terrible. Even if you're the only one there. Slow and never very helpful.
Value
Fine prices. Not too expensive, but the poor service just angers everyone.
Overall
It's O.K.. I recommend takeout.

Food
Lobster/steak dinner was ordered...the steak was very good, the lobster was over-cooked...lobster sent back to kitchen and a replacement wasn't seen for 25 minutes.
Atmosphere
Very comfortable and mellow.
Service
The waiter wasn't interested in working. He basically was needed to be called numerous times to get intial order, to fill water glasses, to bring order...total time in restaurant was over an hour and half.
Value
At these prices one would expect the food to be prepared on a gourmet level with special care taken to make sure diners are happy with what they ordered...an extremely poor example of what Japanese cooking should be like.
Overall
If a restaurant is interested in offering a specific type of food, it should first learn how to make it. If it is just practicing making various dishes, it should not charge for this lousy experience.
