The decor is very charming and the bathrooms are clean.
Very friendly service.
It is a little pricey, but I think it was worth it.
The prices are a little high but the overall dining experience was very nice.
I was expecting much more foodwise from the rave reviews I had received from their Huntington location. I found that the steak au poivre was very under seasoned as well as the potato cake that accompanied it. Their clams mariniere lacked flavor and clams were a bit sandy for my taste. My friend had their escargot and she said it was very good and her entree was the Coquilles St Jacques and although the shrimp and scallops were cooked perfectly, the flavor profiles that were highlighed on the menu were lacking.
Very clean. The restaurant itself is beautiful, the restrooms were clean and the outdoor dining area was also well kept.
We were extremely disappointed with the service. It took me at least 10 minutes for a waiter to offer me a drink. Granted I was waiting for a guest and the hostess did know that was the case, but regardless a waiter should have been at my table a lot sooner. After my guest arrived, we then placed our orders. Two other tables had been seated at the time our orders were placed. One of those tables received their appetizers before we did and at the time we received our appetizers, the other two tables were already on their main courses. The excuse we were given was that there was a party of 25 inside. That didn't really make much sense to us due to the fact that unrelated parties (that arrived later) were getting their meals way before us, but we waited and were gracious when received our dinners. The refills on our drinks were very, very, very slow as well.
I don't feel that it was a good value at all. It was terribly overpriced for mediocre food and snails-pace service.
I will never dine at this restaurant again, nor any others that are affiliated with this restaurant group. At a time when the general public are watching what they spend, I would think that restaurants such as Brasserie Cassis would go above and beyond to appease their guests. As a side note, the restaurant manager should explain to their waitstaff that good tips are earned, not expected.
