Everything my friends and I had here was excellent. Even though it is a basic "American Cuisine" joint, they have a ton of entrees to choose from and we have yet to be disappointed.
I guess part of me likes the dark wood and dim lighting. It makes it feel like a family friendly dive, if that makes sense. With it's L.I. nautical theme it is a little campy, but charming nevertheless.
Never really a wait. Every waitress is "seasoned", so to speak. We always get prompt service, friendly attitudes, and they are more than willing to accommodate any requests.
Free carafe or pitcher of wine/beer/soda with entrees, and I think refills of pitchers and carafes are $1. Also, free salad with entrees. Huge portions, we always share and end up bringing half home.
Delicious food, excellent value, AND you get to dine beside that crappy map of Long Island with the rope piping on the frame that we all had growing up. Worth going to when you want some good burgers/sandwiches/seafood.
