At Paddy's Loft, the excellent portion sizes and the food are always consistent. My favorites are the chicken cordon bleu and marinated skirt steak, as well as all the Irish menu items. Everyone I recommend it to always rave about the food after they eat here.
It is a family oriented Irish themed restaurant with a cozy atmosphere in both the dining room and bar side. I always feel at home never uncomfortable. And have to add it's always decorated nicely, especially around the holidays (Christmas and St. Patrick's Day.)
I feel like I am at home since the service is always friendly, helpful and again consistent. In all the years I have visited Paddy's Loft I have never had a bad experience. The waitresses always remember my drink orders and even on their busy nights the service is always on target and I never felt rushed or unattended to.
The food portions are more than I can ever eat so there are times I bring some of the food home. The prices are fair for the quality and portions of food that you receive. And if you add the service you receive you can't top it.
Paddy's Loft is a great restaurant to dine at and as mentioned always had consistent service and meals. I have been going to Paddy's for some years now but I have never waited very long for a table. On the weekends reservations are recommended and you may have to wait a short time, but as mentioned the bar is very comfortable and there is usually a table ready by the time you have one drink.
The food was delicious. The Guinness was decent. The iced tea was terrible. I ordered the Princess Chicken, which was fabulous, though the waitress when offering side dishes neglected to mention if you order the baked potato with it, it's $3 more, whereas if you order the mashed potatoes, there's no extra charge. She just offered both, though, like they were both free and came with it.
Clean and quiet. Supposed to have an Irish theme, but...that seemed to be lacking. They served Guinness, which was good, but that was about as Irish as it got. Kind of disappointing.
Our waitress made us feel like we were intruding. She rushed through the specials and didn't even look us in the eye. She mumbled a lot. We did have complaints at the end, and the waitresses just kind of shrugged it off. They kept asking to refill the iced tea (which was terrible), so we figured since they were offering, we'd take them up on it. Turns out, though, that those were not free refills. When we complained that they did not tell us this, they shrugged, said there wasn't really anything they could do, and said, "Everyone who comes here knows there are no free refills." So, we were supposed to know what their services were even though we'd never been here? It is not printed in the menu either. We asked about that and looked. Felt very taken advantage of. Good service is that if the refills are not free, you don't ask to refill the drink. They had no remorse whatsoever.
Did not get the value for our money. The not-free refills on the terrible iced tea was appalling, as was the waitresses lack of concern and lack of desire to help. And my side dish that I thought came free with the dinner I ordered was actually $3 more, which they also neglected to mention. They just offered it to me like it came with it. Much deceit. And even though the food was really good, the bill and the service ruined it.
Not worth it. The food is good, but the service was awful. They added so many things to our bill without telling us, and then said we should have known. Thanks a lot. Won't be going there again, and I will be telling people there are much better places. Disappointed.
