The Sushi was waterlogged and tasted too fishy. Worst sushi on Long Island. GROSS. I would not feed that crap to homeless people.
Not a lunch place.
Very good hibachi. Food is prepared before your eyes, fresh and flavorful.
Nice Asian decor throughout the restaurant. The waiting room/bar area can get crowded though.
They only get this high of a score because the cooks are typically friendly as part of the dinner show atmosphere. The wait staff is gruff at best. Most of the waitresses are rather rude, basically dropping off your drinks/appetizers and taking off. Asking to see a Sushi menu appears to be a federal offense because they are usually annoyed by this request
While the food is very good here, it is quite pricey - dinner for two can easily run you over $100 if you order drinks & dessert.
It's a fun experience that everyone should try once, but not a place to go regularly.
I didn't have a problem with the food, though my Mom didn't like the Sushi
Loud and noisier than Shiro of Japan. Yes, noise is normal at these types of restaurants, but it was abnormally noisy here.
The server was rude, snotty and impatient. For example, They may push you out for the next group coming to the hibachi table
While the food was OK, I wouldn't come back just because of the unfriendly service.
If you want exceptional japanese food with friendly, polite and patient servers, try Shiro of Japan. The address is 401 Old Country Road, Carle Place, NY.
